MP Biswajit Daimary from the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) Party has challenged the people of India to give up Northeast India, if they are not able to tolerate people of the region.
Making a forceful statement in Rajya Sabha on Tuesday amid ruckus created by opposition members over publication of complete draft of National Register of Citizens (NRC) on Monday that left out about 40 lakh people, Daimary claimed that no legal Indian citizens have been left out.
However, he admitted that many names might not have been included due to issues like non-arrival of documents pertaining to other States submitted by applicants as documentary evidence.
But he assured that every genuine Indians would be included in the final NRC to be published later.
