GMC organizes street plays on Waste Segregation & Waste Management

Guwahati, February 5, 2019:

Guwahati Municipal Corporation organized several streets plays in Guwahati today. The plays were organized in front of Cotton University, Uzanbazar, Ganeshguri, and Megha Plaza.

These plays are organized on the theme of Waste Management and Waste Segregation and as a part of “I love Guwahati” campaign. These plans aim to create awareness among the general public about cleanliness and hygiene.

Speaking on the occasion, GMC Commissioner Monalisa Goswami said, “We hope that these initiatives that we are taking to create awareness amongst the public bear fruit and the people take up the motto of cleanliness seriously”.

The plays would also be organized tomorrow, i.e 6th February in Adabari, Maligaon, Sarabbhati, Hedayatpur, and Six Mile.
