In yet another case of smuggling of gold, Government Railway Police today seized 12 gold biscuits at Guwahati Railway Station. The gold biscuits estimated to be worth approximately Rs 60 lakh was recovered from the possession of two persons indentified as Bhagat Singh and Shahil. Both the accused were travelling by the Kamrup Expression from Dimapur in Nagaland and were on the way to Delhi.
It may be mentioned that this is the second seizure of gold biscuits in the Guwahati Railway Station in the last 24 hours. The Government Railway Police had seized four gold biscuits and arrested two persons on Thursday.
