Good news for Twitter users of Assam

People of Assam will now be able to inform the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption about corruption by the state government employees through Twitter or Email.

Now citizens can inform directorate of vigilance and anti-corruption, Assam about corrupt practices of the Assam government employees through Twitter or emails. People will now be able to provide information to the directorate through direct message at twitter handle @DIR_VAC_ASSAM or emails at adgp-vac@assampolice.gov.in or complaints.vac@gmail.com.

“Information shared before giving of bribe would be used by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Assam to lay trap and nab the concerned official red-handed,” stated Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), law and order GP Singh in a tweet.

Singh stated that information about disproportionate assets would be verified and action would be taken after due approval of competent authorities.
