Assam Govt declares Sep 11 as Public Holiday

Guwahati (Assam), September 10, 2018:

The Government of Assam has declared September 11 as a public holiday on account of Srimanta Sankardeva Tithi.

A press statement said that the public holiday has been declared under Section 25 of NI Act, 1881.

The stated added that all financial institutions/cooperative banks etc within the state of Assam will remain closed on account of this public holiday under the Act.
