HAILAKANDI: Tension has erupted along the Assam-Mizoram border after a grenade blast jolted Assam's Hailkandi district late Friday night.
The grenade was hurled at the Kasurtal Sahebmara Lower LP School in Hailakandi by suspected miscreants from Mizoram.
The blast took place at around 11:30 pm.

In the grenade blast, a part of the school has reported to be damaged.
Notably, suspected miscreants from Mizoram had burnt down two LP schools in Cachar district last year.
This development came after Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma revealed the setting up of 20 Border Police Outposts in Barak Valley along the
Assam Mizoram border on Friday in the Assam Assembly.
