The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) has announced a new set of rules for city buses to provide them with ‘time cards’ in order to prevent traffic snarls in the city.
The city buses will now be functional on the roads based on these time cards.

As per reports, a time card will be issued to each city bus before starting their journey and no bus will be allowed to overtake another bus.
The RTA and traffic police have also jointly organized an awareness programme in Khanapara for the implementation of the new rule.

They also mentioned that the bus drivers and conductors will have to be in uniform and also give tickets to the passengers travelling in the bus.
To issue the time card, they will have to park the buses in a queue. A sum of Rs 40 will be charged for the time card, Rs 20 for the card, and Rs 20 as membership development fund.
