Guwahati, January 7, 2020:

The Guwahati Railway Police have recovered as many as nineteen mobile handsets from two individuals at the Guwahati Railway Station on Tuesday.

The two individuals, identified as Rajesh Kumar Rai (25) and Sanjon Tewari (25), were travelling in the Brahmaputra Mail train when the authorities led an inspection and recovered the mobile phones.

According to railway authorities, the two were travelling to Jharkhand. They both hail from Sahebganj district of Assam.

Rai and Tewari were travelling in Brahmaputra Mail’s Coach No. B4. A case, 04/2020 U/S 380 IPC, has been registered against them. It may be mentioned here that earlier, Railway Police had recovered as many as sixteen Royal Enfield Bullets being stolen from New Delhi and brought to Guwahati via Railway Parcel.
