Guwahati traffic police attacked while trying to stop over-speeding vehicle; 6 arrested

GUWAHATI: The Guwahati police arrested the six persons who allegedly attacked two traffic police on Saturday night while they tried to stop an over-speeding vehicle in Guwahati.

In a sensational incident, yesterday a group of six persons has allegedly attacked two traffic police of the Panbazar area in Guwahati.

According to reports, the incident took place when the traffic police asked one of the six detained youths to stop over after he was caught crossing the speed limit while riding.

Following which the accused motorist came with his accomplice and reportedly assaulted two on-duty traffic police.

The two traffic police have been identified as Utpal Gohain, Latasil Traffic Police, and Ritupan Saikia, Panbazar Traffic Police.
