The BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary on Tuesday laid foundation stone for construction of Railway Over Bridge (ROB) for the intersection of Kashikotra-Basugaon-Talguri PWD road and FR Railway Tracks under State Central Share at Basugaon Town.
The project is estimated to be Rs. 6147.37 lakhs and would be of 648.50 meters length and 8.50 meters width with carriageway and service road. In this connection, a public meeting was also held at Basugaon Durga Mandir Complex under the Presidentship of BTC Deputy Chief Kampa Borgayari.
Addressing in the meeting BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary said that construction of roads, bridges and school buildings are the priority of their government. Among them, Basugaon Fly Over was considered very important.
Stressing the need to have more developed connectivity in BTC area, he said that completing this project can bring about a sea change in the development scenario of Basugaon area. Stating the importance of Railway Over Bridge at Basugaon, the WPT & BC and Tourism Minister of Assam Chandan Brahma lauded the role of his State Government in sanctioning such important scheme.
He further assured of doing more developmental works in Basugaon area and also urged the people to keep close watch over the construction work for smooth and timely completion of the scheme.
The meeting was attended by Ex- BTC Speaker Paniram Brahma, Ex-EM James Basumatary and BPF Woman Wing leader Supriya Brahma.
