Gossaigaon, February 14, 2020:

Promod Boro, the former president of the All Bodo Students' Union (ABSU), lashing out at the Bodoland People's Front (BPF) supremo Hagrama Mohilary, said that the leader is feeling threatened due to the possibility of Boro contesting polls.

Taking part in a massive rally in Gossaigaon that was organized by locals to welcome the signees of the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) pact, Boro dodged some questions about the possibility of actively joining politics, and chose to play it safe.

Taking digs at Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Chief Hagrama Mohilary, Boro said, "If there is one new Gandhi in the world, it is Hagrama Mohilary. He says I have done bad things and lied; he should say what good things he sas done in 17 years. Bodo was reacting to an earlier statement in which Hagrama had said that if Pramod Boro enters politics, he will "lie" and do "bad things".

Boro also said that Hagrama is feeling threatened by the possibility of him entering politics. "Hagrama has always been fearful...he has been fearful for 15 years. This is why he is unable to do good deeds, and will be unable to do so in the future."

Upon being asked about the possibility of entering politics, Boro said,"The unrest that was here must be replaced with peace. We must give an environment to our children to study, we must give an environment to farmers, we must give business opportunities to businessmen. We are thinking about the prosperity of everyone, so we will discuss about politics later on."
