Kokrajhar (Assam), September 5, 2018:

Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief Hagrama Mohilary on Wednesday vented his ire after the Bodoland University authorities had not informed him of a meeting that discussed infrastructure issues of the varsity.

Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi was among people in attendance at the meeting.

On learning about the meeting, Mohilary and his Bodoland People’s Front colleagues Pramila Rani Brahma, who is a minister, and MLA Rabiram Narzary went to the university campus and made know their displeasure to the Governor.

“Nobody informed me or the BTC either about the meeting or its agenda but we should have been informed. I know how the Bodoland University came into being and what infrastructures it needs. It was built as per the Bodo Accord signed after Bodoland Movement…

“I’m happy that the Governor came. He is the chancellor. But in this discussion, I should have been included. I should have been taken into confidence when you are discussing issues pertaining to the varsity’s infrastructures. I asked them what they will discuss by keeping me in the dark,” Mohilary said.
