Indian Meteorological Department (OMD) in its latest weather forecast predicted heavy rainfall in Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh in the upcoming days.
As per the official website of the Indian Meteorological Department, the northeastern states are likely to experience moderate to heavy rainfall for the next five days from September 11 to September 14.

Heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places from Sep 11 to Sep 14 in Assam. While in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur and Tripura, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places from September 11 onwards.
The rain is likely to be accompanied by strong winds, speed reaching 40-50 kmph in southwest and West Central of the Arabian Sea.

A cyclonic circulation lies over Northeast Assam and neighboring Arunachal Pradesh and extends up to 1.5 km above mean sea level as stated in All India Weather Inference.
In Assam, the places that are likely to feel the most impact are, Amraghat, Badarpur, Chandrapur, Jagiroad, Laharighat, Lala, and Tamulpur.
