GUWAHATI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda and union minister of textiles and women & child development Smriti Irani will visit Assam tomorrow to campaign for the saffron party before the second phase of state assembly election to be held on April 1.
Nadda will attend three public meetings at Dharmapur, East Bilasipara and West Guwahati. He will be accompanied by union minister Jitendra Singh at Dharmapur.
On the other hand, Smriti Irani will address election rallies at Barbhag, Gauripur and Dhubri. Irani will also address the media at Guwahati later in the day.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the state on April 1. The prime minister will address an election rally in Kokrajhar during his one day visit.

Union home minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah will also visit the state again on March 31.
Both the leaders will visit the state to campaign for the third and final phase of Assam assembly election to be held on April 6.
The first phase of polls in Assam was held on March 27 while the second and third phase will be held on April 1 and April 6 respectively. Counting of votes will take place on May 2.
