Himanta Biswa Sarma Confident of Forming Alliance in Mizoram

Guwahati, December 12, 2018:

Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted after the Mizoram Assembly election, expressing confidence that the BJP will control all North-Eastern states once an alliance has been forged in Mizoram.

This tweet shows Biswa Sarma’s certainty that NEDA (North East Democratic Alliance) will form a coalition with the Mizo National Front (MNF) headed by Zoramthanga, a former BJP ally.

This comes after the MNF and other local parties had tried their best to distance themselves from the BJP in the lead-up to the election.

He further proceeded to congratulate both the winner, Zoramthanga, as well as the lone BJP victor in Mizoram.
