R P Sarmah, in an exclusive interaction with InsideNE, launched a scathing attack on Assam’s Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and criticized the ‘new guard’ BJP member for keeping him in the dark regarding the denial of ticket to him. Further, Sarmah has dubbed Biswa Sarma ‘Duryodhan - elder brother of Kauravas’.
While playing a game of describing political players in 1-2 words, he replied “Kaurav’s eldest brother Duryodhana”, when being asked about who the Finance Minister reminds him of. Duryodhana is the antagonist of the Indian epic poem, ‘Mahabharata’. Meanwhile, he said that the former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi reminds him of Bhishma Pitama, the foremost warrior and patriarch in the 'Mahabharata'. Who does Sarbananda Sonowal remind him of? Yudhisthira, the eldest of the Pandava brothers. In the national sphere, he said that Prime Minister Modi reminds him of Lord Krishna while the words that sprang to his mind when asked about Congress President Rahul Gandhi are “Young man, with a future.”
“Who is he? He claims to be Chanakya, but people do not consider him that. I would have been okay with the rejection of ticket if he had informed me beforehand”, he added.
