Himanta-Sarbananda BJP convoy confronted by protestors despite ‘road show’

So you thought that scores of bike-perched BJP workers both in front and behind an envoy carrying Himanta Biswa Sarma and Sarbananda Sonowal would be enough to dissuade protestors, right? Well, wrong.

It seems like Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s constant jibes at the protestors have only steeled their resolve. Despite strong security measures adopted by authorities, many protestors belonging to the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) thronged Nalbari’s medical college where Himanta Biswa Sarma and Sarbananda Sonowal had reached to address a gathering.

An altercation between AASU and authorities can be witnessed in a clip that has emerged from the location.
