Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Chief Hagrama Mohilary on Saturday lashed out at his political rivals including the ABSU and NDFB (P) backed candidate Urkhao Gwra Brahma.
Addressing a huge BPF rally which was also attended by Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the BTC Chief said: “U G Brahma is nothing. Will you people vote for the NDFB? The ones who stay in the jungle? They are nothing. The NDGB ceasefire and ABSU have propped up U G Brahma, a candidate who has never won and is unlikely to ever win.”
Hagrama also took swipes at sitting MP Naba ‘Hira Sarania. “Hira Sarania is unable to access any place, but he is not getting any response so he went to Guwahati to address the press in front of journalists. This proves that Hira Sarania is over...he is finished...our only fight is with the NDFB and ABSU.”
“I have heard whispers that Pramila Rani will lose and they have urged people to vote for the ‘torchlight’ symbol (Naba Sarania’s symbol). I believe that some BPF party members are spreading these rumors”, he added.
Hagrama also said that the AGP-BJP-BPF alliance would win twelve out of the Lok Sabha fourteen seats in the state.
