Hiren Gohain’s anti-CAB forum warns BJP to stop “fascism”

Guwahati, January 29, 2019:

Following the recent incident of attack on the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) activists inside a police station in Nalbari by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers, Forum Against Citizenship Act Amendment Bill has categorically termed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) as a “Fascist” government.

The forum issued a statement undersigned by Advisor Hiren Gohain warning the BJP-led government to stop the “Fascist” act against the democratic protestors who are protesting against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.

The forum said that the attack on AASU activists inside the police station at Ghograpar in Nalbari has left the people in shock and Gohain also questioned the security of the general public under such an administration.

Warning the government, the forum has urged the responsible government to seek apology to the people for the act and make sure that the same is not repeated ever again.
