Huge fire breaks out in a compound in Guwahati; one injured

GUWAHATI: One person suffered serious burn injuries in a fire that broke in the Chilarai Nagar Path in Bhangagarh, area of Guwahati in the wee hour today.

The massive fire broke out in a compound around 3 am.

The person was sleeping inside the compound unaware of the fact that fire broke out in the compound, has sustained severe burn injuries.

His body was partially burnt when he tried to jump outside.

He was rushed to Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) immediately.

He is now undergoing treatment.

Later, following the information, at least two fire tenders reached the spot and has brought the fire under control.

No loss of life has been reported, although several properties have been reduced to ashes by the fire.
