Popular singer and heartthrob of the youngsters Zubeen Garg has made it crystal clear that he is not the brand ambassador of the Assam government or the agriculture department. Reacting to a the backlash of a group of people Zubeen stated that he would however keep on working for the promotion of the agricultural schemes but not as its brand ambassador.
“I am not the brand ambassador of the agriculture department. The department approached me to promote its schemes. I will help them. Our people are not aware of these schemes. They should avail the benefits,” said Zubeen.

The ‘Ya Ali’ fame also disclosed his plans of forming a football club to promote the game in the state and the young talents.Zubeen however made it clear that people from the entertainment fraternity who had joined politics would not be allowed to play in his football team.
It may be mentioned that last month news surfaced that the Assam government has proposed to appoint Zubeen Garg as the ambassador of agriculture and allied sectors of the state. The decision was taken to make the agricultural sector attractive to the youths of Assam whereby it will create employment for the millions who have been rendered unemployed by the COVID pandemic.
