Inside Northeast launches new business news website insidene.in

GUWAHATI: Inside Northeast Pvt Ltd today added yet another feather to its cap launching the first-ever business and entrepreneurship news website of the Northeast marking its 4^th Foundation Day.

On the day when its first endeavour, insidene.com (Inside Northeast), completed four years of service to the society, the media house pioneered by journalist Afrida Hussain and entrepreneur Mithu Bharali launched insidene.in, a dedicated business and economic news website for the region.

Headed by the head of Centre for Industrial Extension at the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship Dr Sriparna B Baruah as honorary edition-in-chief, the news portal is being launched with the sole objective of promotion of entrepreneurship and business in the Northeast.

Launching the website, North Eastern Tea Association (NETA) adviser and former vice chairman of Tea Board of India and Tea Research Association (TRA) council member Bidyananda Barkakoty said: “It is indeed a long felt need of the entrepreneurs of the region that has been fulfilled. I am sure, it is a platform that will help the entrepreneurs as well as the start-ups to get the global exposure and grow in their business.”

“I am happy that Afrida Hussain and Dr Sriparna B Baruah have come together to provide such a platform to the business fraternity of the region. I wish great success to the website,” he added.

Elaborating on the website Dr Baruah said: “Since I am with entrepreneurship development, I often come across entrepreneurs who say there is not platform to highlight the achievements and potentials of the entrepreneurs of the Northeast. A lot of the achievers from this part of the country go unsung. Thus, they also miss great opportunities to shine in the global perspective. Though some of the achievers are celebrated on television, those are shortlived.

“I discussed the idea of providing a permanent platform with Afrida Hussain and she agreed readily to develop this website. This digital platform is a permanent one that goes global. We will make all efforts to give maximum mileage to the achievers as well as start-ups alike so that business in the region can grow,” she said.

The site will not only feature news and interviews, but also videos and documentaries on entrepreneurship and business.

Earlier in the day, celebrating four years of relentless efforts to provide the latest news to the people of the Northeast, indsidene.com celebrated its fourth Foundation Day. Editor-in-chief Afrida Hussain said insidene.com has started its video publishing channels and will soon start news bulletins. She also said insidene.com will be a site to look out for during the ensuing Assam Assembly elections. Insidene.com has recently developed new infrastructure at its new office premises in Guwahati.
