A day-long district-level “Job Mela” was organised by the Hailakandi District Mission Management Unit of Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission at Nazrul Sadan premises in Hailakandi on Saturday.
According to official sources, ten recruiters from different companies took part in the event in which 45 candidates secured jobs.
Also, 554 rural youth enrolled in the Kaushal Panjee. As part of the ongoing Extended Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, Kaushal Melas have been organized in all the five development blocks across the district.
Under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana, many poor rural youth have enrolled themselves for development and upgradation of skills for various avocations. After completion of the three-month training course, they are provided recruitment by the placement agencies in companies.
