General Secretary of Tinsukia District Journalists Association, Rana Jyoti Neog said, “Margherita’s four times former MLA and present Nagaon MP Pradyut Bordoloi is now profane and speaking unnecessarily everywhere. Recently Nagaon MP Pradyut Bordoloi made a statement that at Margherita Sub Division rampant illegal coal mining is going on, where if any worker who died in the coal rat hole mining, journalists of Margherita charge Rs 1 Lakh for each worker as a contract to suppress the death incident of workers in rathole mines. Ram Prasad Ambedkar said that if Pradyut Bordoloi has any evidence regarding any journalists who charg money for each worker who died in the rat hole mining, he should publicly announced the names of those corrupt journalists.
“When Pradyut Bordoloi was the four times MLA and Minister of Margherita, then a journalist of Ledo was brutally beaten up by Congress goons for which he is yet to recover and struggling for his life but then Pradyut Bordoloi did not take any action against those Congress goons who attacked the journalist,” said Rana Jyoti Neog.
He further added, “We demand Bordoloi to immediately announce the names of those journalists who are corrupt and have charge money for each worker death in the rat hole mining of Margherita Sub Division.”
