Nadda will pay obeisance at Kamakhya Temple before his departure on Tuesday, reports said.

JP Nadda will be the second among the BJP top brass to visit the state in a little over a fortnight after Union home minister Amit Shah’s visit on December 26-27.

Shah’s visit was followed shortly by Congress leaders Ajanta Neog and Rajdeep Goala joining the BJP along with Banendra Mushahary of the Bodoland People’s Front.

According to reports, Shah also held talks with the saffron brigade's ally in Assam, the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), over seat sharing in the state Assembly elections next year.
