Kangpokpi Public Forum seeks steps to restore normalcy in MU

Imphal (Manipur), Aug 6 2018:

The Kangpokpi Public Forum (KPF) has demanded that State government take immediate steps to restore normalcy in the Manipur University (MU), “instead of playing politics in the campus”.

In a memorandum to Chief Minister N Biren Singh, the KPF said they were upset to find that the Government of India and the Manipur Government remaining silent on the ongoing impasse in the university.

The forum demanded that political parties should not interfere in education sector and maintain the sanctity of educational institutes like MU.

The KPF also demanded that the government take steps for bringing normalcy in the university and save thousands of students’ career who are studying in the university.

It further asked the government to bring an amicable solution to the current logjam between the agitating faculty members and students of the varsity and the vice-chancellor.
