DIPHU: Bikram Hanse, a prominent activist from Karbi Anglong, shall contest theensuing polls from 20 Vothatlangso (ST) Constituency in the West Karbi Anglong district.
Hanse will contest on an All-Party Hills Leader's Conference (APHLC) party ticket.
Hanse is a former President of the Greater Guwahati Karbi Students Association (GGKSA) and a former Vice-President of the North East Forum For Indigenous Peoples (NEFIP).

The youth leader joined the All Party Hills Leader's Conference (APHLC) on 18th August 2020, and served as President of 20 Vothatlangso ST Constituency, West Karbi Anglong. He has been chosen as the MLA candidate for upcoming Assam Legislative Assembly polls.
Confirming this development to InsideNE, Hanse added that he will file his nomination papers on Monday (March 8).
Notably, this will be the 33-year-old youth leader's first major election.
Assam assembly polls for a total of 126 seats are scheduled to be held from March 27 to April 6 in three phases.
