DIPHU: It's that time of the year again! The Karbi Youth Festival 2021, the oldest, richest and most vibrant ethnic festival of Northeast India, will be held from February 15-19, 2021. The highly-anticipated festival will be held at the Karbi People's Hall in Taralangso at Diphu.
A grand beauty pageant -- the Miss KYF 2021 -- is also being organized by the Karbi Cultural Society in collaboration with Jakve Asong Tourism NGO.
Auditions were held yesterday. Out of 28 girls who had participated, 17 were selected to be a part of the grand finale which will be held during the main festival.

"We are glad that we have the opportunity to showcase the cultural vibrancy of the Karbi at this event. Thanks to this, a lot of youngsters of the region can finally exhibit their skills," said Agustin Timung, President of the Jakve Asong Tourism NGO
It needs mention here that the Karbi Youth Festival is an annual festival celebrated by the Karbi People living in Karbi Anglong District of the state of Assam. It is considered the oldest ethnic festival in India. It is organized by the Karbi Cultural Society.
