GUWAHATI: Taking a dig on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday said Kejriwals 'lies' have been exposed.

This comes after the oxygen audit committee, set up by the Supreme Court, said that the Arvind Kejriwal-led government in Delhi had sought four times more oxygen than it was required.

ji’s efforts to end the pandemic, Kejriwal constantly lied and inflated oxygen need by fourfold. He has blood on his hands and must face actions."

Responding to the allegations of the opposition party in general, Kejriwal stated that his only mistake was that he fought for the 'breath of 2 crore people'.

"When you were campaigning for elections, I was up all night arranging oxygen. People have lost their loved ones due to shortage of oxygen. Don't call them liars", he added.

The SC panel in its interim report said that the Delhi government's claim of 1,140 Metric Tonnes was four times the calculated consumption as per bed formula, which was 289 MT only.

It added that the excess supply of oxygen affected supply in other states that were in need of oxygen.

Equipped with just few beds four Delhi Hospital including Singhal Hospital, Aruna Asaf Ali Hospital, ESIC Model Hospital, and Liferay Hospital claimed very high consumption which according to the panel appeared erroneous.
