Khairul Islam, a 2nd-year student of Ledo College detained for post "Pakistan Jindabad" on Facebook

Guwahati, February 18, 2019:

Khairul Islam, a second-year student of Upper Assam studying in Ledo Junior College from the Tinsukia District has been detained by the Ledo Police for posting an anti-national comment ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ on Facebook just after the tragic Pulwama terrorist attack.

Khairul has been caught and beaten up by an angry mob on Monday for posting such objectionable comment.

Later, the crowd handed over accused Khairul Islam to Ledo police and is currently under the police custody.

Speaking to InsideNE, Amarjyoti Bailung, IC, Ledo Outpost said, “The accused Khairul Islam has been taken into custody and will be interrogated for the same after certain proceedings.”
