Leader of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS), Akhil Gogoi on Thursday demanded immediate arrest of All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) Chief Badruddin Ajmal for threatening to kill a journalist.
Gogoi said, “This intolerable act of Ajmal falls under IPC Section 307 (Attempt to murder). He did not only misbehave but also threatened to kill him and threw away his mic. The journalist life is in danger and at any moment he may face death threat. The concerned authorities should provide him security and arrest Ajmal and if the government fails to do so, it will be proving that the BJP government is safeguarding the MP”.
It may be mentioned that, Ajmal on Wednesday verbally abused a jounalist with unparliamentary words and yanked and threw the mic when asked about alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress. He categorically humiliated the journalist, pressurized the journalist to apologize in front of everyone and threaten that his thousands of supporter outside can end him.
