Post the signing of the Bodo Peace Accord, the leaders of the disbanded National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) have geared up for the upcoming Bodoland Territorial COuncil (BTC) elections, the latest being the General Secretary of the Saoraigwra faction (NDFB-S), BR Ferenga, who joined the United People Party Liberal (UPPL).
Ferenga aims to defeat the demons of Politics. "Today I have joined the UPPL to defeat the demons as a human. Our political leaders, especially the ones who are involved in the Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD). They have only done corruption so far," he said.

He added that soon it would come to light about the countless departmental corruption. Ferenga indirectly signaled at BTC Chief Hagrama Mohilary, who has been actively engaged in the Bodoland affairs.
Speaking on the lines of Saoraigwra, he said, "I believe that he will come forward by keeping aside all his personal issues aside and join the UPPL. Meanwhile, Gobinda Basumatary alleged that due to personal interests the leaders of the disbanded NDFB, Saoraigwra and Dhiren Boro, they have refrained from joining the UPPL.
