KOKRAJHAR: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) in the Bodo Territorial Region (BTR) today held a press meet in Kokrajhar over the sensational news of the killing of two innocent youths as United Liberation for Bodoland (ULB) cadres on September 18.
The deceased have been identified as--Jwngsar Musahary, a resident of Salguri of Patgaon, and Janak Kumar Brahma, from Parbatjhara under Kokrajhar district.
They lost their lives in a police encounter in the Ultapani forest area, where the Kokrajhar unit of Assam Police has busted a newly formed militancy group ULB camp as per police information.
While Police have claimed that the two were cadres of ULB, the villagers and the militant group itself claimed that the youths were not their members.
Villagers called it a planned cold-blooded murder.
Mushahary also warned the Additional Superintendent of Police Surjit Singh Panesar over the killing of the two youths saying not to play with the Bodo people of the region.
He further demanded an apology for the killing of two innocent youths in the name of ULB.
Speaking about the role of Pramod Boro, BTR chief', Mushahary, stated that the people who made Boro win and brought him in power as the chief of the region now refuse to speak in fevour of them, Why Pramod Boro is not reacting to the matter. Is he scared of police?, he said.
Mushahary also said, " We have lost faith on state Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma as well."
The word "encounter" on CM Sarma's face does not suit, he added.
