KSA begins 100 Hours sit-in to demand action against College Principal

Diphu, March 15, 2019:

The Karbi Students Association (KSA) along with other organizations has started a 100-hours sit-in demonstration from 15 to 18 March at Semsonsing Ingti memorial park, Diphu.

The protest was staged against the failure of the KAAC to punish the Nirab Kumar Sharma, Principal Diphu Government College (DGC) for alleged misappropriation of Govt funds.

Karbi Student Association President Semion Rongphar, in an interview with InsideNE, said: “On 1^st of December 2018, we had launched an FIR against Nirb Kr. Sharma regarding misappropriation of Government funds. The police of Karbi Anglong have registered the FIR under sections 409 and 420 of the IPC. We had submitted all the documents to establish this case, but the police of Karbi Anglong have not done anything.”
