Kuki Students' Organisation's Guwahati Chapter Celebrates Silver Jubilee

Guwahati, September 14, 2019:

The Kuki Students' Organisation's Guwahati chapter celebrated its 25th years here in Guwahati.

The organization was formed in the year 1994 by the then students drawn from various parts of Northeast India.

The event also welcomed the new students who have joined various institutions in the city.

It may be recalled that many of the students of this organization have prospered in various field of life in various parts of the country and are serving in various departments and ministries in the country.

The event was graced by  LS Changsan IAS, DP Haokip, Lamhao Doungel, and Dr. Lamkholal Doungel as Chief Guest, Chief Host, Guest of Honour and functional President respectively.

The event also witnessed various cultural performances by the student community. Many of the ex-members were also present on the occasion.

The students' organization has been actively involved in various activities for the upliftment of the Kuki students in the city.

The Chief Guest exhorted the students to excel in all spheres of life and to contribute to the development of the community.

She also urged the student community to lead a life of discipline, obedience and to have perseverance and to do well not only in studies but develop skills and explore avenues in the various fields of employment -- both old and new.
