Three kidnappers arrested in Karimganj

Karimganj (Assam), September 18, 2018:

A team of Assam Police arrested three persons who were involved in the kidnapping of a man from Ramkrishna Nagar in Karimganj and rescued the victim.

According to reports, the trio was arrested from Vidyanagar area based on intelligence inputs. The abducted person was subsequently taken home. The abductors had demanded Rs.3 lakh and a Pulsar bike as ransom. The man was abducted on September 14.

Karimganj SP Gaurav Upadhyay said the arrested persons were identified as Abdul Munim, Shajan Ahmed and Nazrul Islam. An accomplice, Anwar Ali, who is suspected to be the mastermind of the kidnapping incident, was arrested as well. A Bolero, used in the crime, was also seized.
