LAUREL FOR ASSAM EDUCATION AND HEALTH MINISTER, HIMANTA BISWA SARMA

The top 10 list of the political supermos of the country is out. And guess what! The list includes our very own, the 49th Finance, Health, Education & Tourism Minister for Assam; Convenor, NEDA Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma. The list was released in a report of India Today which counts Narendra Modi at the top position followed by Amit Shah,  Arun Jaitley, Mohan Bhagawat, Sonia Gandhi, Mamta Baneerjee Nitin Gadkari, Ram Madhav, Chandrababu Naidu and Himanta Biswa Sarma respectively.

According to the report,the leader from Assam backed the 10th position as he has almost single-handedly ensured BJP rule in six of seven Northeastern states.

The report also says that for any Northeast-related issue, his word is final for the prime minister and BJP president. The Report included that the Assam finance minister played able deputy to Union finance minister Arun Jaitley in convincing state FMs to come on board for GST. The report stated an interesting fact about the Leader.It revealed that he practises astrology and was a regular attendant of RSS shakhas in Guwahati during his teens.
