Lok Sabha elections | AIUDF releases first list of candidates

Guwahati, March 23, 2019:

The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) on Wednesday has declared the first set of candidates who will represent the party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state. Three candidates who have been chosen to contest the election on behalf of the party have been named by the party.

AIUDF Chief Badruddin Ajmal, the sitting Dhubri MP, has once again been chosen to contest from the constituency.

The party’s General Secretary, Hafiz Rafiqul Islam, will contest from the Barpeta Constituency.

Meanwhile, sitting Karimganj MP Radheshyam Biswas has once again been chosen to contest the elections from Karimganj by the party.

Ajmal has stated that five more candidates will be declared by the party in the upcoming days. the AIUDF will contest a total of eight Lok Sabha seats in the ensuing elections.
