Lok Sabha Elections | BJP to allow Himanta to contest from whichever Constituency he chooses

Guwahati, March 14, 2019:

Himanta Biswa Sarma, the blue-eyed boy of Assam is free to choose whichever Constituency he wishes to contest the election from. In a BJP meeting held today, the Election Committee of the BJP has resolved to ask the BJP high command to let Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma contest from any of the 14 Constituencies in Assam.

The high-level BJP meeting convened on Thursday to decide which candidate to field in which Constituency has officially come to an end. In the meeting, the party decided to contest the elections from ten constituencies. The Kokrajhar Constituency, meanwhile, has been given to the BPF, who will field Pramila Rani Brahma. Also, BJP allies AGP will contest the remaining three seats.

A female, a person belonging to the SC caste and two tribals have been nominated by the party.
