Lok Sabha elections | NPP party releases first list for Assam elections

Guwahati, March 21, 2019:

The Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma-led National People's Party (NPP) has made its foray into Assam politics official by announcing its first batch of candidates who will be contesting the ensuing Lok Sabha elections.

The candidates are:

Nazia Yasmin Mazumdar - Silchar

Ram Bahadur Sunar - Tezpur

Abdul Aziz - Kaliabor

Kamala Rajkonwar - Jorhat

Bhaben Baruah - Dibrugarh

It is to be mentioned that the NPP, which flagged its Assam unit on 6 March, intends to contest all 25 Lok Sabha constituencies in the Northeast.
