Maharashtra school book has a brief on Jadav Payeng

The Class X environmental science book of Maharashtra school board makes a passing allusion to the “Forest Man of India” Padma Shree Jadav Payeng.

“The big story of a small man” in the book depicts his life and how he turned a barren sandbar on the Brahmaputra into a forest with his 30-year-long unrelenting efforts.
