'Majuli' singer Nilotpal Bora urges Govt to fix roads, video goes viral

The dilapidated road conditions in Assam have been one of the major issues prevailing in the state. Despite complaints being raised over the issue, no development can be seen so far.

This time a new video has floated on social media with the same appeal. Young artist Nilotpal Bora, popularly known for his “Majuli” song has shared a video on his Facebook handle projecting the poor road condition of National Highway 37. He has been on a road trip in the entire country. He has been driving from the northern part of the country to Assam.

In the video, Nilotpal asked the Assam Government to either build the roads or to completely convert it into “kaccha road”. He mentioned that due to the poor road conditions he has been suffering from severe backache.

Speaking to Inside North East, Nilutpal Bora said that one of the wheels got detached from the car due to the pathetic condition of the roads in Assam. As he was about to take off for Delhi tomorrow, but the broken wheel has caused hindrance ahead of the trip.

He further mentioned that he has travelled all over India, but Assam’s road conditions are the most pathetic.
