Guwahati, June 9, 2019:

Assam's Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday lashed out at Trinamool Congress (TMC) Supremo Mamata Banerjee and said that she is frustrated over the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) win. He also added that Congress will not be also to come back to power in the long run.

Addressing the media, Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “Now, Mamata Banerjee is frustrated. She knows that she cannot rule West Bengal. Her days are numbered. There is a need for peoples’ movement against Mamata Banerjee. I believe that the state BJP will take adequate measures to strengthen the resistance against the TMC Supremo.”

He added, “You need people’s support, but she has lost the support of the people as well as Lord Ram (another name of Lord Narayana) too. If one does not have the support of “Nara and Narayana”, no Prashant Kishore can save you and you’ll be out of power."

The BJP leader further said that he sees only the BJP ruling India in the future. “India will be ruled by BJP and no one else, neither in mid-term future nor in the long term. Whenever there will be elections, Congress’s defeat is confirmed,” he asserted.

However, Sarma mentioned that the BJP does not want to create a state where there is no opposition. “For better governance, one has to leave dynasty politics and have to be people oriented. The way Congress is functioning, the way of their opposition will also be finished,” he further added.

Apart from that, Sarma informed that the state government is implementing various schemes and as of now the 'Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana' has been implemented. Assam has been allotted 10 thousand kilometers for this scheme.

"The BJP party will introduce electronic measurement book, social forestry along with road construction, etc.", he said.
