Man with Rs 6 lakh cash apprehended at Kamakhaya Railway Station

Guwahati, March 9, 2019:

Cash alert! Rs. 6 lakhs in cash has been recovered by authorities. At roughly 1:00 pm on Saturday, a checking party of Kamakhya Railway Police apprehended a person named Saidul Islam (25) from Platform no. 1 and recovered Rs. 6 lakh in cash.

Saidul is a resident of Kanhara village of Kamrup District and is a businessman by profession. As per reports, he had come to Kamakhya Railway Station in order to go to Kolkata by Saraighat Express. He has been handed over to the Income Tax Department as per legal procedures.
