The man-elephant conflict killed continues in Assam and in an unfortunate incident, a man was killed on Monday in one such conflict at 5 no. Gobinpur Tea Estate in Assam’s Numaligarh.
The deceased has been identified as Manash Baruah (aged 26 years).

It has been known that a large herd of elephants has been creating chaos in the tea estate for the past few days. The locals tried to send the herd back to the jungle area, following which an elephant of the herd attacked Manash.
The locals alleged that the Forest Department has been neglecting the issue, despite receiving numerous complaints.

As per reports, this is the third death reported from the tea estate due to man-elephant conflicts.
