Imphal, March 6, 2020:

On the last day (Mar 5) of the 10 board exams conducted by the Manipur, as many as thirteen students were expelled for adopting unfair means. The exams had begun on February 17.

Thirteen students have been expelled on the last day of the class 10 examination 202 conducted by Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BSEM). The students were appearing MIL subjects on the last day of the exams when they were expelled by the authorities.

Eight students from the Ideal High School who were appearing for exams at the pallel exam centre, were expelled. The expelled students had the following roll numbers: 16067, 16079, 16082, 16085, 16087, 16112 and 16017.

At the Lilong Higher Secondary School exam centre, 4 students were expelled. The students who were expelled had roll numbers 35137, 35135, 35027. Another student bearing roll number 34795, who appeared at the Centre Madrassa exam centre was expelled for possession of a mobile phone.

One teacher and over 20 students sustained injuries when some candidates appearing in HSLC Exam 2020 raised an uproar and vandalised Lilong Higher Secondary Madrassa exam centre. Students/candidates of six schools of Lilong had appeared for HSLC Exam at the centre. The school's Economics teacher RK Milan and over 20 students sustained injuries in the violent uproar.

From the Pishakmacha Bidya Mandir Mayang Imphal exam centre, a student bearing roll numbers 38507 was expelled, reportedly for "impersonation."
