JORHAT: Hours after his nomination for the Assam assembly elections was rejected, Mariani's Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) aspirant Alok Ghosh suffered a heart attack late last night.
His condition is stated to be critical and the Mission Hospital here has advised him to be shifted to Guwahati for better treatment. Sources said, Ghosh would be shifted this afternoon.

Ghosh was a BJP aspirant from the Congress bastion. After being denied the ticket, Ghosh switched side overnight to the AJP and filed his nomination from the newly floated party.
His nomination was rejected yesterday for irregularities in documents though.
