Tamulpur, February 26, 2019:

The family of Assam’s martyr son Maneswar Basumatary has praised the Indian Government, the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force for avenging the death of 98th CRPF Battalion head constable.

“Many children lost their fathers as we did, so after this attack, the souls of the martyrs, including that of my father, will finally rest in peace”, said Diwmshree Basumatary, daughter of the martyred jawan. Apart from Didwmshri, Basumatary’s wife Sanmuti and nephew Kamal Bodo also expressed their satisfaction at the Government’s swift and deadly response in taking out the terror outfit's bases.

Twelve days after the deadly Pulwama attack on February 14, the Indian Air Force conducted a pre-dawn surgical strike in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK). During the 21 minute attack, 200-300 militants were killed and the biggest camp belonging to the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror outfit in Balakot was destroyed.
