A massive landslide has been reported at 11th Mile in Jorabat of Assam.
The landslide took place following heavy rainfall in the region as the monsoons have hit the entire Northeast region.
In the landslide, a 60-year-old man called Hareswar Bora was seriously injured. Both his legs were trapped as a result of the slide and have suffered grievous injuries.

It has been reported that Bora was working at his hotel situated near NH-37 in Jorabat when the incident occurred.
The Jorabat police along with the locals were able to rescue Bora after hours of rescue efforts and immediately rushed him to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the state of Assam has been facing flood across the upper Assam. Golaghat, Jorhat, Lakhimpur and few of the most vulnerable place that has been hit by the flood.
It is to be mentioned that the entire Northeast has been undergoing the issue of the landslide as the monsoon rain is continuing. Also, a massive landslide was reported in Arunachal Pradesh yesterday. As per reports, nearly 800 people have been stranded in Arunachal Pradesh following heavy rain and landslide.
