A unit of Red Horns Division organised a Medical Camp at Akshiguri in Kokrajhar district on Saturday.
The camp aimed at providing medical aid to civilians living in remote villages. Six medical specialists from Army and two specialists along with nursing staff from civil administration were also present.
There was a voluntary involvement of a civil organisation namely Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP) which was responsible for conducting Malaria, Tuberculosis tests and collection of Sputum.
More than 600 people from various remote villages including all age groups attended the camp.
The Army personnel and the locals volunteered to donate blood during the camp.
